I always understood it to be a part of the work I do, but during my time away I received it as a message. You might even say it was a directive, to help people remember who they are.
It’s so easy to forget, isn’t it? Amongst the busy day to day, the work, the bills, the news, the upset and tragedy we are seeing almost daily now. It’s easy to lose ourselves in the heartache and helplessness. We can lose our focus and our purpose.
How can we call ourselves and each other back home? How do we remember?
We can lend a hand to our friends and neighbors, the way our Ancestors used to. We can honor them by remembering village life. We can meet another’s eyes with a simple hello, a warm smile. Hold open a door. Offer up a simple act of kindness. Little moments to helps us recall our humanity.
We can touch our hands and feet to the earth. When we remember the earth we remember ourselves. We remember where “Home” is.
Home is where the Hearth is. Gather loved ones to share stories and meals by the fire or around the table. We don’t need a special holiday to do this!
We can stop and take a moment to breathe. One minute. Sixty whole seconds. Just. To. Breathe. Our breath connects us to our bodies and brings us into the present moment when we pay even just the barest attention to it.
When we remember who we are, we can no longer pretend we do not see. We see, we feel, and so we must act. Now, at this time in the world, we are in need of action. What will your action, your contribution be, to this new world that is being birthed before our very eyes? Now is not a time for sleeping.
I am here to be of service to you in all the ways I know how. Be it through touch, sound, vibration, energy, divination, ritual. How can I assist you on the path to remembering? To the path that leads you home?
